Aspect of the Protector

The Aspect of the Protector is a Defensive Aspect. It can be imprinted on Helms, Chest Armors, Pants, Shields and Amulets. It can be used by any class.

in Diablo IV is a straightforward Aspect that grants a protective barrier whenever an elite enemy is hit, though it is subject to a cooldown. This cooldown means the Aspect isn't continuously active, but the barrier it provides can absorb a considerable amount of damage.

As a defensive Aspect, it is adequate, but often overshadowed by others like the

, or class-specific options such as the

Snowguard's Aspect

Typically, the Aspect of the Protector is a viable choice when there's an available defensive slot and more preferred defensive Aspects are not an option. It's a solid fallback for added protection, especially in scenarios where those superior defensive Aspects are not in use.

Effect

Damaging an Elite enemy grants you a Barrier absorbing up to [X] damage for 10 seconds. This effect can only happen once every 20 seconds.
